Mirta Maccio
Title: Executive Director

My career has been set in the healthcare arena, making sure that our patients and families are cared with respect and compassion, delivering individualized care in accordance with each patient needs.

Born and raised in Argentina I felt in love with the hospice benefit that was not provided in my country. A couple of years ago I was able to witness the services delivered by our team as my mother needed our care. I felt blessed as each team member supported my mom and my family. After her passing, we received all the love and compassion of our bereavement team that supported us through the grieving process. My goal is to educate and support our community, when a patient has a terminal disease, I would like them to experience the care that my mom had.

I have more than 15 years of experience in the hospice arena, directing business growth and ensuring efficient operations. Proven abilities in strategic planning, improving efficiency of operations, managing complex projects, and team building. Strong leadership skills: able to prioritize, delegate tasks, and make sound decisions quickly in high pressure environment. I am adept at developing and implementing policies and procedures for business development with multi-site experience.

Our hospice is accredited by CHAP (Community Health Accreditation Program); the last recertification survey conducted by them resulted in a deficiency free survey. This institution audits our care; ensuring that our processes; frequencies of visits and service is provided in accordance with the plan discussed by our physicians and our clinical team.

It is important to me that my team can depend upon both my consistent responses and trust that my expectations, decisions, processes and support will always be fair and well informed. I care about our patients and family’s feedback on how we can satisfy their needs being always available for them.
